If you’re planning on betting on the NFL over Thanksgiving Thursday and you’d like to add $10,000 to your bankroll without risking anything, check out the following offer from top online sportsbook BetOnline.

The Thanksgiving Parlay offered up by BetOnline is free to enter for existing and new members and is currently accepting entries until tomorrow at 12:30 pm ET.

BetOnline customers need to select their NFL parlay picks against the spread or on the over/under on the three games featured on Thanksgiving Day. Football parlay selections can be altered up until tomorrow’s deadline of 12:30 pm.

Here are the six wagers that must be selected correctly for tomorrow’s Thanksgiving NFL games.

BetOnline Parlay Pick Options

Chicago Bears -3½

Detroit Lions +3½

Bears Lions Total Over 41.5

Bears Lions Total Under 41.5

Las Vegas Raiders +7

Dallas Cowboys -7

Raiders Cowboys Over 50.5

Raiders Cowboys Under 50.5

Buffalo Bills -4

New Orleans Saints +4

Bills Saints Over 46.5

Bills Saints Under 46.5

While there is no cost to take a crack at the $10,000 prize, members must wager at least $25 at BetOnline’s sportsbook on the Thanksgiving NFL games.

The $25 must be placed on straight bets and cannot be used on parlays or other combination wagers. Patrons can qualify by risking $25 betting on the Lions to win, lose, or cover, or several wagers can be made that tally up to that total over the course of the day.

They just need to be placed prior to earning a free entry into the Thanksgiving parlay contest.

An NFL parlay only requires that a second wager be added to the combination, but BetOnline’s contest will award the grand prize to the pro football prognosticator that can correctly pick 6 winners.

If there is more than one winner, the prize will be split among them, however, no award will be granted if no one makes six successful parlay bets.

The gambler that wins the Thanksgiving Day parlay contest will have their account credited with the 10K on December 3rd, just in time to lay some action on some Week 13 NFL games or the conference championships occurring in NCAA College Football.

The winner will need to bet all ten grand at least once before collecting on it because there is a 1X rollover requirement attached, and there’ll be plenty of opportunities to double down and really maximize your earning potential.

That cannot happen without betting on the Cowboys, Lions, and the Thursday Night Football game on Thanksgiving evening, so submit your six correct NFL parlay picks now and earn some extra spending cash for Christmas.

The Chicago Bears have been earmarked on the schedule of the Detroit Lions for weeks now, as it appears to fans and NFL oddsmakers to be the franchise with the most potential to provide their first win of the year.

NFL prop bets have predicted that the Bears are the most likely team to lose to the Lions, but online Thanksgiving Day football betting sites have produced lines that favor Chicago by a spread of at least 3.5 points.

Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions Game Line

Point Spread: Bears -3.5, Lions +3.5

Moneyline: Bears -180, Lions +155

Over/Under: 41.5

The Bears will be at near full strength when they engage the Lions on Thursday in the day’s first game, but Detroit will be without starter Jared Goff at quarterback as he is recovering from an oblique injury.

In place of Goff will be Tim Boyle, a 4th year QB out of Eastern Kentucky who will be making the first start of his NFL career. This is his first year with the team after spending the last three seasons with the Green Bay Packers

Normally, Boyle’s inexperience would be a recipe for disaster, but when a franchise hasn’t won any games after 11 weeks of play, refreshing the starting roster will do two things that are extremely beneficial.

The first is that the Bears have incredibly limited game film on Boyle and he will be nearly impossible to accurately prepare for. While Tim Boyle is not expected to become the next Joe Montana, Thursday’s game against the Bears should allow him open throwing lanes for at least the first half.

The second reason is that prior starting lineup combinations have experienced such low levels of success that a completely new component under center is bound to at least cause an uptick in production, even if it is a slight one.

For those that are interested in betting on the Lions on Thanksgiving and laying some action on them to win, we recommend wagering on the point spread as opposed to the moneyline.

That’s because the moneyline for Detroit to beat the Bears is so close to even that bets on the spread are more advantageous, and more importantly, do not require the Lions to win.

For gamblers that merely require solid action as opposed to competitive gameplay, the following NFL prop bet could be of interest.

Betting On The First Score Of The Lions Bears Game

Bears Touchdown +175

Lions Touchdown +240

Bears Field Goal +320

Lions Field Goal +350

Bears Any Other Score +5000

Lions Any Other Score +5500

The above line for NFL betting will net at least $3 per dollar wagered if the first score of the game is a field goal and the correct team is selected.

If the first score of the game is not a touchdown or a field goal, $50+ can be gained by betting a dollar on that outcome if you pick the right team. That basically means that the first score would be a safety or a single point awarded by a forfeit to the winning team.

While that outcome is not likely, it is bound to happen sooner or later. Why not be that one savvy bettor that laid action at the right time?

On the Friday prior to Thanksgiving Day in 2021, NFL betting lines have finally been unleashed for the gambling public to gobble up.

Long gone are the days of preseason lines that accept action for the entire year. Thanksgiving Day NFL betting sites now hold off on releasing their game lines until at least the week prior, removing the opportunity for early wagers to capture potentially higher payouts.

We’ve spent the entire season complaining about the lack of odds for betting on the Lions, Cowboys, and Thursday Night Football, so now that they’re here, let’s indulge and examine what the NFL bookies have cooked up for us on Thanksgiving.

It seems the NFL oddsmakers are not done calculating the lines for the Chicago Bears vs. the Detroit Lions, but betting on the Dallas Cowboys and their contest against the Las Vegas Raiders is receiving action now.

Las Vegas Raiders @ Dallas Cowboys

Raiders Point Spread: +7.0

Raiders Moneyline Odds: +255

Cowboys Point Spread: -7.0

Cowboys Moneyline Odds: -310

Thanksgiving Over/Under: 54.5

4:30 PM Kickoff On FOX

The Raiders are fighting to stay alive in the NFL Playoff chase while the Cowboys are riding high in the saddle over in the NFC East with a 7-2 record.

It is by no means a lock, but Dallas appears poised to win their division finish as a top seed in the NFC, but if they lose to a team like the Raiders, the overall expectations of NFL oddsmakers could sour.

Buffalo Bills @ New Orleans Saints

Bills Point Spread: -4.5

Bills Moneyline Odds: -220

Saints Point Spread: +4.5

Saints Moneyline Odds: +180

Thanksgiving Over/Under: 47.5

8:20 Kickoff On NBC

The Buffalo Bills remain the top team in the AFC East, but the New England Patriots are coming off of a big win against the Atlanta Falcons and are one game behind them in the standings.

The Saints will be without the services of Jameis Winston for the remainder of the year yet their current record places them among the top teams in the NFC at the moment.

The Bills are also playing inconsistently, dropping a recent game to the Jacksonville Jaguars, and they’ll need to return to championship form soon as the next several weeks feature playoff contenders on their schedule.

We’ll keep an eye out for lines to be posted on the Lions Bears Thanksgiving Day NFL game. Until then, digest the above betting lines and be thankful for what we do have on the boards already.

Since COVID-19 first began to impact the operations of the National Football League, NFL betting sites have been hesitant to post game lines for any contests occurring after the upcoming weekend.

That trend has continued into the 2021-22 NFL season as lines for Thanksgiving football games have been absent from the boards… until now.

Lines for betting on the Detroit Lions, Dallas Cowboys, as well as the Thanksgiving edition of Thursday Night Football between the Buffalo Bills and the New Orleans Saints are now ripe for the wagering, although moneyline odds for winners have yet to be posted.

Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions

Point Spread: Bears -3, Lions +3

Moneyline: TBA

Over/Under: 44

As expected, the Chicago Bears are favored to defeat the Lions in Detroit, but the margin of 3 points indicates a close matchup that could go either way.

Whether the game is competitive or not, neither team offers much to pull the attention away from an early afternoon Thanksgiving dinner table. At least the prospect of a close contest allows for solid excuse building for a sojourn into the living room to sit in front of the television.

Las Vegas Raiders @ Dallas Cowboys

Point Spread: Raiders +7, Cowboys -7

Moneyline: TBA

Over/Under: 54.5

The afternoon’s second game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Las Vegas Raiders predicts that Dak Prescott and his potent offensive unit will win by a touchdown.

While Dallas appears to be finally fulfilling the promise of last year’s optimism, betting on the Cowboys is still a very risky proposition regardless of which team they are facing.

Again, the NFL moneyline odds are missing from this mid-afternoon Thanksgiving game line, but we expect them to be posted within the next 48 hours.

Buffalo Bills @ New Orleans Saints

Point Spread: Bills -4, Saints +4

Moneyline: TBA

Over/Under: 47

The final Thanksgiving day NFL game between the Buffalo Bills and the New Orleans Saints will have NFL Playoff seeding implications as both teams would be included in the postseason if the year ended today.

Buffalo is predicted to win by 4 on the road in the Mercedes Benz Superdome, with an over/under that suggests both teams will score in the range of 20 or more points.

The Saints have been trying to reinvent the wheel on offense following Jameis Winston’s season-ending injury, and for now, Trevor Siemian seems to be providing enough stability to keep their playoff hopes afloat.

Long-term Saints QB Taysom Hill is still waiting for his chance to earn the job full time, so it is unclear who the Thanksgiving day starter will be for New Orleans.

With any luck, next NFL season will be a return to normalcy in the realm of online sports betting in that lines for all 18 weeks will be produced in advance of opening weekend.

For now, these Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving NFL betting lines from BetOnline are likely the most advance notice turkey day football gamblers are likely to get.

The third game on last year’s Thanksgiving NFL schedule was a matchup between the then undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens that promised to remove the bad taste leftover from the first two meaningless contests of the day hosted in Detroit and Dallas

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson ended up contracting COVID-19, and the Thanksgiving NFL game was not completed until the following Wednesday. As November 25, 2021 drew closer, gamblers began betting on the Detroit Lions, or rather, on the first team that they would beat this season.

The team expected to compete the most closely with the Lions that remained on the schedule were the Chicago Bears who they play this Thanksgiving Day, and technically, bets placed on Detroit’s first victory coming a week from this Thursday are still active.

That’s because the Lions have still yet to win a game, despite their 16-16 tie with the Steelers yesterday afternoon.

The tie brings the Detroit Lions’ record up to 0-9-1, and while they still have the potential to finish without a win, they will not become the first NFL franchise to finish with a 0-17 record (in the very first year that the league transitioned to a 17-game schedule).

NFL betting sites still have props on the board accepting action on the Lions first win of 2021-22, and the below line reveals that the most likely candidates are the Bears and the Cleveland Browns.

Detroit Lions First Win Of 2021-22 NFL Season

Chicago Bears +200

Cleveland Browns +350

No Wins In Regular Season +350

Atlanta Falcons +1000

Minnesota Vikings +1200

Seattle Seahawks +1500

Green Bay Packers +2000

Denver Broncos +2500

Arizona Cardinals +4000

If the Bears or the Browns are able to survive the Lion’s attack, the most likely outcome is that Detroit will indeed finish with a 0-16-1 win-loss record. That will secure the Lions the first overall selection in the 2022 NFL Draft where they’ll likely pick their next franchise QB.

The Cleveland Browns are suffering from mid-season struggles and have now released wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. before completing his third year with the team.

After suffering an embarrassing 45-7 defeat to the New England Patriots over the weekend, the Browns may have what it takes to deliver the first dub of 2021-22 to the Lions and their fanbase.

The Browns possess a roster full of highly talented players, as they have for the past two seasons, yet still produce mediocre results that fall well short of expectations.

That’s the story of the Cleveland Browns in a nutshell – expectations that were never realized. They’ve not even been to Super Bowl before, so they’re the perfect NFL team to sacrifice themselves to the Detroit Lions, even from a historical perspective.

The Browns are so inconsistent that betting on them to win or lose is a risky proposition, however, the Bears have been routinely lousy and appear unable to beat a mediocre or better team.

Online Thanksgiving football betting sites will keep the above prop bet open for a few more weeks, but it will likely be removed once the outcomes have been reduced to three or four options. Bet now or risk losing an opportunity to profit off of the Lions’ Thanksgiving futility.

Before entertaining the idea of betting on NFL games over Thanksgiving Thursday, be sure that all the essential elements are covered well in advance to avoid a late November turkey of an afternoon.

Bring Your Smartphone – If you’re away from home on Thanksgiving Day, forgetting your iPhone could place a blockade on all NFL betting possibilities. You can rely on your spouse’s handheld device if you’re ok with going into the doghouse for the remainder of the weekend, but we advise playing it smart and keeping all mobile sports betting avenues open.

Ensure The Presence Of A Television – Apple and Android web-ready devices are more than capable of streaming an NFL game on Thanksgiving Day, but being that Thanksgiving is a communal experience that involves a large dinner gathering, therefore it is best that the NFL games be displayed for all to see. Don’t be the dweeb staring into their iPhone at the dinner table.

Ask If They Get FOX, CBS, & NBC – With so many cutting the cord to cable services these days and relying more on streaming services, broadcast television is often a casualty. Call ahead and ask if they still get network television stations, and if not, stop by any electronics store and pick up and HD antenna for $15 just in case.

Solid Cellular Service In The Area – You may be venturing into a territory where grandma is still on 56k dialup and she’s so far out into the boonies that cell service is sparse. Unless you want to piggyback off of the free Wi-Fi at Starbucks at the nearest interstate exit to bet on the Detroit Lions game, make sure there’s at least 3G in the area.

Early Thanksgiving Football Betting – Consider laying some action on Thanksgiving NFL odds early because, believe it or not, sometimes the holiday itself can be entertaining enough to pull viewers away from professional football. Cruise the online NFL sportsbooks a day or two before Thanksgiving Thursday and if you like what you see, place a bet.

Fund Your Sportsbook Account In Advance – Go ahead and deposit funds into your online sports betting account so that wagers on Thanksgiving NFL odds can be made on the fly.

Set A Thanksgiving NFL Betting Limit – Go into Thanksgiving with a betting budget already set, and be mindful to not exceed it trying to hedge an early loss in the day.

Take Advantage Of Live NFL Odds – No matter how long the Thanksgiving football game has been in progress, live NFL odds are in play and accepting action. If you aren’t sure about the pregame NFL odds, or you just want to wait and see before placing a wager, live NFL betting on Thanksgiving is the perfect solution.

Online Sportsbook Membership – If you haven’t joined up with an NFL betting site, do so immediately. Although the process can be completed quickly, you don’t want to tie up valuable NFL betting time on Thanksgiving Day.

Don’t Forget The NFL Props – Proposition wagers also accept live bets until an outcome is rendered so enhance your holiday afternoon with a few for odds that can cash in at anytime during the game.

Early betting lines on Thanksgiving Day’s SEC football game favor the Ole Miss Rebels by ten points, but this in-state rivalry could prove to be a much tighter contest.

Ole Miss is led by Heisman Trophy candidate Matt Corral who is currently projected to be the first quarterback taken off the boards in next April’s NFL Draft.

2021-2022 Heisman Trophy Odds To Win

Bryce Young +180

Kenneth Walker +240

CJ Stroud +400

Matt Corral +550

Caleb Williams +700

Kenny Pickett +2200

Right now, gamblers are betting on the Detroit Lions to attain the number one overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, and Corral has a solid chance of becoming their next franchise QB.

Ole Miss is currently 7-2 whereas MSU is sitting at .500 with a record of 4-4. Both programs have the same amount of victories in the SEC, however, meaning that the winner will gain the edge in the Western Division.

While neither team is in contention to reach the SEC Championship Game, the winner will have the chance to earn a significantly higher profile bowl game during the 2021-22 NCAAF postseason.

The odds posted at online football betting sites for the SEC Western Division have been removed from the boards due to the certainly of the eventual winners, but here are the current standings.

SEC West Standings

Alabama 5-1, 8-1

Texas A&M 4-2, 7-2

Auburn 3-2, 6-3

Ole Miss 3-2, 7-2

Mississippi State 3-3, 5-4

Arkansas 2-3, 6-3

LSU 2-4, 4-5

The below odds to win the SEC reveal that the Auburn Tigers are still in play for the conference championship. Auburn has two in-conference losses, but they play Alabama on the final Saturday of the season and can gain the western conference edge on them.

SEC Odds to Win

Georgia -210

Alabama +170

Texas A&M +2800

Auburn +2800

Auburn really doesn’t have much of a shot, as they just lost last weekend to Texas A&M who has a win over Alabama. That means that the Tigers need the Aggies to lose another game in order to have a chance at the 2021-22 SEC crown.

As you can see by the above futures odds for betting on college football, both the Aggies and Tigers are not offered much hope for success.

Both NCAAF programs are listed with +2800 moneyline odds to win the Southeastern Conference and will net brave gamblers $28 for each dollar wagered. We do not recommend betting more than a dollar on this turkey of a wager.

Look for Thanksgiving Day NCAAF lines to become more prominent in the coming days as the holiday approaches.

Just when fans of the Dallas Cowboys thought they could strongly believe that they’ve got the makings of a Super Bowl contender, they lay an egg and lose to the Denver Broncos by a score of 30-16 three weeks prior to their Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Broncos started 3-0, surprising critics and their fanbase, but since then they’ve lost three out of five games and fallen to the latter half of the AFC West.

Denver is by no means a slouch, yet it was not expected that the Cowboys would suffer such a crushing defeat, especially after the Broncos traded away future Hall of Fame outside linebacker and former Super Bowl MVP, Von Miller.

The Broncos were able to make up for the lack of Miller’s presence thanks to a herculean effort put in by rookie defensive end Jonathon Cooper who sacked Dak Prescott twice and set up camp in the Cowboys’ offensive backfield for most of the game.

The loss drops Dallas to 6-2, but they are still comfortably ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East by a margin of 3.5 games. The odds for betting on the Dallas Cowboys are still optimistic about their NFL Playoff chances, and offer hope in the overall championship picture.

The Cowboys Week 8 performance reveals why it is good to build a lead in the NFL standings. Although Dallas appears unstoppable on offense at times, an uneven matchup or a new scheme can completely disrupt any pro football franchise’s efforts to move the ball.

How Dallas reacts and adjusts to the loss to the Broncos will play a large role in how the remainder of their season goes, as now other defensive coordinators have plenty of game film to figure out just exactly what recipe Denver used to shut down the Cowboys.

Most NFL betting sites still feature Dallas near the top of their Super Bowl futures odds, suggesting that yesterday’s dud was an outlier, and we’ll find out between now and Thanksgiving how legitimate those predictions are.

Over the next two weekends, the Cowboys will face the Atlanta Falcons and then the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Falcons represent a benchmark in the NFC for Dallas. Can the Cowboys best a hard-nosed Atlanta team that they should be better than, or is Dallas closer to the middle of the pack than they’d like to believe?

Echoes of last year’s “NFC Least” designation for the Cowboys’ division are still reverberating in the minds of NFL fans as well as the oddsmakers at NFL Thanksgiving Day football betting sites.

Two wins over the Falcons and Chiefs during the fortnight prior to Thanksgiving would wrangle in those Cowboys doubters and get them back on board with their postseason odds.

If the Dallas Cowboys can then parlay those efforts into a big win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Thanksgiving Day, consider them the front-runner for Super Bowl 56.

Although the product on the field during Thanksgiving NFL games of recent years has left a lot to be desired, it is the league’s intention to deliver quality television in order to best attract the attention of holiday travelers who are desperate for a diversion.

It is precisely this yearning for something resembling professional football that has allowed the NFL to get away with such lousy Thanksgiving gridiron action, but is it too much to suggest that the teams getting an exclusive national audience be relevant?

With their win-loss record and the current odds at NFL sportsbooks, betting on the Dallas Cowboys to make the playoffs as a top four seed in the NFC seems like a sure thing.

The only Detroit Lions betting going on right now is on prop bets for them to go winless because any other futures line is focusing on the team that will be the first to lose to them.

The Buffalo Bills and the New Orleans Saints are also very much in the playoff hunt, but what kind of Super Bowl success have franchises experienced that played on Thanksgiving Day that same season?

The last team to play on Thanksgiving and reach the Super Bowl were the Seattle Seahawks when they lost SB XLIX to the New England Patriots. They beat the San Francisco 49ers in 2014 on Thanksgiving Day.

After that, we have to go all the way back to 1995 to find a Super Bowl contender competing on Thanksgiving. Since this is a decade prior to the onset of Thursday Night Football, and the Lions have never been to the Super Bowl, that narrows it down to the Cowboys or the team they were facing.

The Cowboys beat the Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving and then went on to win Super Bowl XXX by beating the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-17 to earn their fifth, and to date, final, Lombardi Trophy.

Over the course of the past 25 years, only the two above-mentioned franchises made it to the Super Bowl.

Does Commissioner Goodell think that perhaps that could have been avoided if the Detroit Lions weren’t routine participants? Traditions earn their keep because their original good intentions hold true over the years.

The Lions are one of the oldest NFL franchises in existence, but they’ve also developed a standard of lousiness that far outweighs any sympathy that any longevity of operation can provide.

The Cowboys are developing a stench as well, but at least their general management and ownership keep hammering away at it.

If it weren’t for NFL betting, the Lions game wouldn’t generate any interest at all. This year, attendance is lower than ever in Detroit, so perhaps the National Football League should consider bailing as well.

While Thanksgiving football gamblers await the latest NFL odds for the three matchups occurring on this year’s holiday, lines from domestic books can provide some insight into winners and losers.

Chicago Bears (-3.5) @ Detroit Lions

The Chicago Bears are satisfied with the play of their first-round rookie quarterback Justin Fields out of Ohio State, however, there is still more work to be done before they’re playoff ready.

That said, da Bears have got more than enough on board to take care of the pathetic Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day, and NFL betting sites are granting them 3.5 points on the road.

For patient gamblers that want to bet on the Detroit Lions to beat the Bears, the following NFL prop is taking action on Chicago to be their first victim this season.

Detroit Lions First Win Of The Season

vs. Chicago Bears+200

vs. Pittsburgh Steelers+300

No Wins In Regular Season+450

vs. Minnesota Vikings+1200

vs. Cleveland Browns+600

vs. Denver Broncos+2000

vs. Arizona Cardinals+3500

vs. Atlanta Falcons+2200

vs. Green Bay Packers+1500

vs. Seattle Seahawks+4000

*Bovada

Las Vegas Raiders @ Dallas Cowboys (-5)

The Dallas Cowboys are finally playing up to the expectations of owner Jerry Jones, with the team operating at mostly full health and their top players often besting their opponent across the line of scrimmage.

While the Cowboys are worthy of being rated ahead of the Raiders at the moment, the five-point spread may give the betting edge to Las Vegas as they are currently the number two seed in the AFC and could deliver a shock to spectators of the second pro football game on Thanksgiving Day.

Our advice is to hesitate on betting on the Dallas Cowboys unless their point spread decreases a point or two.

Buffalo Bills (-1.5) @ New Orleans Saints

The betting line for the Bills and Saints is currently off the boards and we are expecting the point spread differential to increase dramatically in favor of Buffalo when the NFL odds are posted again.

The reason? Saints starting QB Jameis Winston is now done for the year with an ACL tear and New Orleans is scanning the free-agent market and waiver wire to replace him on the roster.

Is it possible that Drew Brees could consider a mid-season return to the Saints in his first year of retirement? Brees has yet to make any comment regarding the situation, but another veteran quarterback in the exact same situation has chimed in.

Former San Diego Chargers and Indianapolis Colts QB Philip Rivers has expressed interest in joining the Saints, but whether New Orleans is interested remains to be seen.

It is indeed possible that the Saints could make a move that would pull someone out of retirement to become their new starter because they are currently holding the #6 seed in the NFC and would qualify for the 2021-22 NFL Playoffs if the season ended today.

The best aspect of these game lines is that all three contests appear to feature competitive matchups, something that has been missing from Thanksgiving NFL plates for nearly two years.
